NSSF FIRST SHOTS

First Shots is the basic beginner’s handgun course. Pistols, ammunition, targets, safety glasses and ear protection are included in the fee for this event. This is an excellent course for families, first timers and anyone who is interested but reluctant to try firearms. 

Students need to be dressed appropriately for the range with long pants, high neck shirt, and closed toed shoes. Brimmed caps are recommended for the range. 

This is the beginner foundational handgun course for people interested in learning how to shoot and how to operate a handgun. 

In a safe classroom environment we will cover the fundamental safety rules and pistol operation basics, such as proper grip, proper sight alignment, proper sight picture, proper stance, etc. Once we cover this material we will move on to the range for live shooting.

Certificate of completion is provided at the end of the course. 

This event is open to anyone 12+(children between 12-18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian).
