Basic Pistol I Course
The USCCA Basic Pistol Course is designed for beginners in firearms or those aiming to enhance their fundamental skills. It features classroom instruction combined with live-fire range activities, focusing on safety, legal knowledge, and practical shooting methods.
What You'll Learn
This is a 5-hour course designed to educate the student on the safe handling and use of a pistol. Topics covered will be: GA Gun Laws, basic firearms safety, firearm manipulation, general maintenance, and fundamentals of marksmanship. This course requires that the student demonstrate the ability to utilize safe gun handling techniques.
Equipment Needed: WE SUPPLY EVERYTHING !!
Firearms used: Smith Wesson .380 EZ, Smith Wesson 9mm EZ, Sig Sauer 365 XL, HK VP9.
IF YOU OWN A PERSONAL PROTECTION FIREARM, WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO BRING IT WITH YOU FOR THE RANGE EXERCISE PORTION OF THE COURSE.
If you choose to bring your personal firearm and ammunition for the Range Exercise portion of our course, please be sure to secure them inside your vehicle safely.
Hearing and eye protection, ammunition, and two targets are included.
At the successful completion of this course the student will be awarded a USCCA Certificate of Completion.

Firearm Safety: Understanding the four universal safety rules and safe handling practices.

Handgun Basics: Learning about different types of pistol, their parts, and how they function.

Defensive Shooting Fundamentals: Developing skills such as grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control.

Dry Practice: Engaging in non-live-fire exercises to build muscle memory and technique.

Live Fire Drills: Applying learned skills in a controlled range environment to reinforce training.

Laws and the legal aspects: Discussing Georgia's Constitutional Carry laws vs. Permitless Carry laws

Refund Policy:
Due to the administrative and financial challenges that refunds present for a small business like ours, we do not issue refunds for class cancellations, missed classes, or no-shows. This policy allows us to continue offering online payments, maintain affordable pricing, and reserve your seat in advance.
Prerequisite Requirements:
Please read and understand all prerequisite requirements listed for each course prior to registration. If a student registers but does not meet the stated prerequisites, they will not be eligible to attend, and no refund will be provided.
Rescheduling Options:
We understand that life happens. While refunds are not available, we are committed to working with our students whenever possible. If you contact us at least 72 hours before your class, and we have open seats in a future class, we will do our best to accommodate a one-time rescheduling.
