Women's Basic Pistol I
USCCA’s “Women’s Basic Pistol I” is a female-focused course designed to help you build confidence and competence with firearms. Whether you're a beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, this class covers handgun basics, self-defense mindset, and practical shooting techniques—all in a comfortable, judgment-free environment.
What You'll Learn
This is a 5-hour course that is a welcoming and engaging training guide, "Created By a Woman for Women," seeking to begin, improve upon, or add to their firearms skills. This course is designed to reach students who are new to firearms and those ready to learn more about marksmanship and defensive shooting. Fundamentals will be introduced, reviewed, and then built upon.
Equipment Needed: WE SUPPLY EVERYTHING !!
Firearms used: Glock 44 (.22 cal), Smith Wesson .380 EZ, Smith Wesson 9mm EZ, Glock 43x 9mm
IF YOU OWN A PERSONAL PROTECTION FIREARM, WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO BRING IT WITH YOU FOR THE RANGE EXERCISE PORTION OF THE COURSE.
If you choose to bring your personal firearm and ammunition for the Range Exercise portion of our course, please be sure to secure them inside your vehicle safely.
Hearing and eye protection, ammunition, and two targets are included.
At the successful completion of this course the student will be awarded a USCCA Certificate of Completion.

The curriculum covers:

Firearm Safety: Understanding the four universal safety rules and safe handling practices.

Handgun Basics: Learning about different types of Pistols, their parts, and how they function.

Defensive Shooting Fundamentals: Developing skills such as grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control.

Dry Practice: Engaging in non-live-fire exercises to build muscle memory and technique.

Live Fire Drills: Applying learned skills in a controlled range environment to reinforce training.

Laws and the legal aspects: Discussing Georgia's Constitutional Carry laws vs. Permitless Carry laws
Cancellation Policy: In registering for class the student acknowledges they may receive text message reminders. Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a refund. Student cancellations will be assessed a 10% administration fee which will be deducted from the refund. Classes cancelled by students less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded. Students who do not show up to attend a class are not eligible for a refund but may be rescheduled if a future class is available. Students who do not attend all portions (which also includes any online learning components) of a class are not eligible for a refund but may arrange with an instructor to attend a future session if there is available class space.
