National African American Gun Association

(NAAGA) Basic Handgun

NAAGA’s mission is to offer fellowship by educating on the rich legacy of gun ownership by African Americans and offer training that supports safe gun use for self defense and sportsmanship.

 

This course is taught live in person and requires time on a gun range in a live fire environment.

 

COURSE LENGTH: 8 HOURS IN CLASS, 1 HOUR RANGE TIME

KEY TOPICS COVERED IN THIS LESSON:

  • Safety and accountability

  • 2nd Amendment historical overview with the Black tradition of arms

  • Handgun parts and ammunition

  • Handgun selection

  • Basic marksmanship

  • Legal factors of gun ownership

In registering for class the student acknowledges they may receive text message reminders. 
Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a refund. Student cancellations will be assessed a 10% administration fee which will be deducted from the refund. 
 
Classes cancelled by students less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded. Students who do not show up to attend a class are not eligible for a refund but may be rescheduled if a future class is available.
Students who do not attend all portions (which also includes any online learning components) of a class are not eligible for a refund but may arrange with an instructor to attend a future session. 
HEALTH & SAFETY CERTIFICATION CLASSES CANNOT BE REFUNDED ONCE THE STUDENT HAS BEGUN THE ONLINE LEARNING, A FUTURE CLASS DATE MAY BE OFFERED TO COMPLETE THE IN PERSON EVALUATION IF THE STUDENT CANNOT ATTEND THE SCHEDULED COURSE.
