USCCA Basic Handgun I

This course is designed to educate the student on the safe handling and use of a firearm.  The four universal safety rules for firearms are heavily emphasized.

 

This course is taught via live "In Person" or "Zoom" session and requires time on a gun range in a live fire environment.

COURSE LENGTH: 3 HOURS IN CLASS, 1 HOUR RANGE TIME

This course requires that the student demonstrate the ability to utilize safe gun handling techniques, after which students are provided a certificate of completion.

KEY TOPICS COVERED IN THIS LESSON:

  • Local Gun Laws

  • Basic firearms safety

  • Handgun parts and ammunition

  • Firearms manipulation

  • General maintenance 

  • 5 fundamentals of marksmanship

  • Legal factors of gun ownership

Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a partial refund. Student cancellations will be assessed with a minimum of a 20% administration fee which will be deducted from the refund. Classes cancelled by students less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.

 Students who do not show up to attend a class are not eligible for a refund but may be rescheduled at our discretion if space is available.

Students who do not attend all portions of a class are not eligible for a refund but may arrange with an instructor to attend another session if space is available.

Multi-day classes are not eligible for a full refund. 

HEALTH & SAFETY CERTIFICATION CLASSES CANNOT BE REFUNDED ONCE THE STUDENT HAS BEGUN THE ONLINE LEARNING, A FUTURE CLASS DATE WILL BE OFFERED TO COMPLETE THE IN PERSON EVALUATION IF THE STUDENT CANNOT ATTEND THE SCHEDULED COURSE.
